So Many

What’s a piece of media (book, movie, song) that changed how you see the world?

  • I Made it Through the Rain by Barry Manilow. “…And kept myself protected. I made it through the rain and kept my point of view. I made it through the rain and found myself respected by the others who, got rained on too, and so can you.”
  • “I see you“ from Avatar.
  • One Voice, also Manilow. “Just one voice
    Singing in the darkness
All it takes is one voice
Singing so they hear what’s on your mind
And when you look around you’ll find
    There’s more than one voice
    Singing in the darkness
    Joining with your one voice
Each and every note or another octave
Hands are joined and fears unlocked
If only one voice would start it on it’s own
We need just one voice facing the unknown
And then that one voice would never be alone
    It takes that one voice.”
  • “Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself“ by Joe Dispenza. How to lose your mind and build a new one.

I could go on and on as I’m easily inspired.

But these three things have core messages close to my heart:

  • You’re not a loser if your life is a mess, everyone gets rained on at some point. Fighting back will build your confidence, and other people will see that and be inspired. Do what he did, dig in, trust and respect yourself, allow yourself to be who you are. Stay true to that, and you’ll realise that you, as you are, is enough.
  • I see you means I’m not loving you I’m the way I need you to be, I see you.
  • One voice becomes many and the sooner we drown out the warmongers, power mongers, and corrupt politicians, with one gigantic call for peace, the better. Every voice matters.
  • The only true way to change is to change the way you think and that will change how you act and what you do. What you accept and what you don’t. And you thought losing your mind was a bad thing! 🤣

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
