Atomic Bombs

We think of a bomb as a physical thing
Designed to destroy by a man
But in truth there were ‘bombs’ way back when
That had an impact as big as The Bang!

The first was the time when two humans appeared
And they looked at each other and said
Either your upside down or you’re wearing a frown
As your spheres are too close to your head!

Now there was difference in spherical terms
And a decision just had to be mooted
Was northern or southern quite clearly the best
Or was this being different quite stupid?

The south won!
Boom (gender issues and yes it was stupid)

Despite these huge differences it must be noted
That the north and south bumps got on fine
Until they discovered some more bumpy folks
Whose covering was “not quite like mine”

Astounded they looked across this huge divide
How to decide who was right?
It was clearly a case of start throwing rocks
And find out who won the first fight

The light ones won!
Boom (colour issues)

So now we had several examples of rules
And several examples of right
Plus all the atoms were out of control
And none on the side of the light

Then things got much worse when they moved into caves
And were proud of a space to call ‘mine’
Until came the day that to their dismay
They found caves that were even more fine!

That caused a fight!
Boom (one upmanship and jealousy)

Then came the day when they sensed the divine
And every cave owner decided
That ‘Divine’ was a good thing
Who only loved them
And divine became rather divided

(Boom ownership of a god
that we wouldn’t recognise if they stood in front of us!)

The poor old divine became very confused
With the names and the faces it had
It didn’t approve of the rules that it made
And they’re lucky it didn’t get mad

Boom (religious conflict and a divine headache)

Then some fool made money and said it was good
But far gooder if you had much morer
Because you could have wheels and you could have stuff
And to hell with those you saw as poorer

Boom (poverty – not the fault of the rich of course)

There once was a time when you could walk where you liked
And only stop when you needed a boat
Then someone decided that this bit is mine
And built an invisible moat

Then everyone felt that they must have a moat
And made them bigger and longer and broader
And that’s how we landed up in the wrong place
On the less favoured side of the border

Boom (welcome to nations)

Now as we all know the grass is much greener
In the place where the foreigners live
And what right did they have to have all the best grass
And refuse to be generous and give?

So, it was decided that some had a right
To the things that the other folks had
And if that meant attacking and taking and killing
Well, that was just tough and too bad

Boom (war, genocide, and a very cross divine)

But folks carried on
They just wouldn’t stop
The stuff overcame them
You might say it made them
And those who had more wanted morer
Which meant that the poor couldn’t get any more
And they became poorer and poorer

Boom (starvation)

Possibly lastly but it’s quite hard to tell
It turned out that genders weren’t two they were 12
People refused to fit into a shape
When their psyche was saying this wasn’t their fate

(Boom the gender conundrum)

I could carry on here for a decade or ten
Telling you all of what happened back then
But you already know
That we’ve gone really wrong
You’ve heard in poetry
Books
And in songs

You know it
I know it
Pretence will not do
And we say we’re advanced
When we’re all in a stew

Until we wake up and look at the mess
Nothing will ever be truly the best

Until in our hearts we believe and we know
That we share just one earth
As above
So below

Our world isn’t owned
Despite all the signs
That say that this place is not yours
But your place is mine

Gender is not as important as love
Colour protects from the hot sun above
Your house or your cave is the place you call home
The Divine is to guide us not something we own
Why have all the money to leave it behind?
Or fight over a silly invisible line?
The morer and morer you need to survive
The poorer your soul is – it struggles to thrive

All this is known and yet still we won’t stop
Arguing – fighting – and culling ‘the crop’
This world won’t be safe until humans evolve
To stop making problems they then have to solve
Until we do that then this anger goes on
And the solution could be

The next Atom Bomb

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
