What’s your favorite thing to cook?

Seriously, this is not a question for me. I eat to live.
When I was about ten we saw a documentary about the American Astronauts and what they ate in space; three blocks of different nutrients three times a day. I asked if we could get those.
Once I realised I needed to avoid gluten the wheels really came off. At first companies couldn’t help enough, then veganism exploded and it was “hey, there are more of them which means more money!” And the variety of things we could buy collapsed. Especially in coffee shops. It is getting better again though.
I’ve also had the experience in semi-recent times of being invited to a gathering to discover there’s nothing there for me to eat. Which tells you you’re not valued, upsets the people you’re with, and is actually depressing because there’s not a thing on that table you wouldn’t eat if you could.
I’m actually very easy to feed if you take the intolerance to two things out: gluten and chicken. Yes chicken. But as wise man once told me “It’s not the chicken you’re allergic to it’s the steroids and other medications they give them”.
So, with a husband who for many years didn’t have an evening meal with me, my already rocky relationship with food mainly collapsed.
As such – favourite thing to cook would be coffee. That counts right?
Happy Sunday one and all. Never discount the power of love.

It counts, of course. I love coffee in the morning and milk at night. Stay the love abundant, yes!
