Who are your current most favorite people?
I am married but he’s under advisement at the moment for refusing to rest an injury.
My Frister and Big Northern Softie are right up there, especially as he and I have a very sweet relationship based around a mutual appreciation of chocolate. He forgives me my complete inability to appreciate beer, he’s very kind. Frister is my greatest support and has no idea how incredible she is.
My group members, now all friends, even though some of them were friends decades ago and some are more recent, are magnificent. We’ve just been through a rather upsetting week and they were right there holding me up, and making Tony feel special.
We committed ourselves to being there in a real way and every single one of us is keeping that promise. I’ve never met anything like this group of people.
The not so close? Family. As always. But then friends are the family you choose for yourself.
And no, the family won’t see this blog.
My most favourite people of all though are those with the courage to be the peacemakers. We need far more of them.
We also need people the world over to recognise that violence and war are pure weakness hidden behind an illusion of strength that everyone else knows is an illusion.
Still smiling unless hubby doesn’t behave, at which point I will have to muster ‘the look’ Off to practice. It can be exhausting.
Happy Sunday

Frister is a word for a friend who is more like a sister. The softie saying comes from Yorkshire in the North of England. They think that people from the south are southern softies. My friend is from Yorkshire and one of the most thoughtful people I know. So I call him my big northern softie.
