Money is the most powerful thing in the western world, having enough makes life a lot easier, but only in certain ways.
So far I haven’t surprised you have I? We all know that. We all know what’s important. In truth few people place money above all else.
Attitude
Again, I’m not going to surprise you when I say that attitude is everything. We all know that too. But how many of us take that old chestnut as seriously as we should?
Setting aside what money can do for us, and what it can’t, it’s possible to feel rich and feel you have nothing, poor and feel you have everything you could possibly desire.
We know that too. But what we don’t do is take the truth to heart that the one thing that will give us the best chance of happiness is to learn to be happy. To choose happy as a default emotion and actively seek to feel great.
Abundance
Abundance is more than money, it’s the feeling of being lucky, even though nothing much has changed. An abundant attitude gives you the energy to create change. A poor one wears you out and tears you down.
It’s too easy to blame what we don’t have, to treat money as is it’s the only way to happiness, and to focus on lack. Yet the successful people in the world often started with nothing except a dream and self-belief, cobbled together with determination, and a positive outlook. Throw in the belief that they deserved the best, and that made them a magnet for the best.
Focus
In my work I point out time after time that we all know the rules, know that they work, and then promptly forget them. Which is why being reminded of what we already know is important. It keeps us on the right track.
Like everyone I forget these rules, so I’ve written this as much for myself as for anyone else.
Money feels great, it’s so useful, but attitude is Everything. As such:
Those old clichés can really save you!
To our happiness
